I'm attending the Creative Cities Summit in Detroit this October 12-15, and really looking forward to it. Check out the website and the conference's menu of offerings. It's going to be great!
I am also excited to see Detroit itself, particularly through the eyes of all the doers and thinkers who will be there. As most everyone knows, Detroit embodies both the catastrophe and the promise of the modern city, and because of that it seems like the natural place to think about design, urbanism, socioeconomics, and innovation (not to mention place, space, and identity.)
Anyone else going, get in touch! And for everyone not going: I'll be sure to take good notes, too.
Hi Chris,
So glad you're attending Creative Cities Summit 2.0. I've been living in Detroit for five years and am hopeful this conference will help new eyes like yours see the inspiration that Detroit is to me every day!
We've (Braingain Marketing) been working on the social media PR part of the conference so thanks for the mention.
Let's be sure to meet up at some point.
Cheers!
Julie

Thanks for posting about this, otherwise I wouldn't have known about it.
I'm going to be attending, for my non-fake-city real job.
